WILL KAYE - Collaborative Family Lawyer & Supervisor

Will is a highly experienced family lawyer who has specialised in family law since qualifying in 1996 and has spent more than 20 years championing the Collaborative Family Law model. Clients value his calm, ethical, and constructive approach, which is designed to reduce conflict and help families move forward with dignity. He is a member of Resolution (www.resolution.org.uk) and abides by its Code of Practice.

After holding Partner and Head of Team roles in large regional practices, Will joined Berwins Solicitors in Harrogate in 2020 as a Senior Consultant Solicitor to focus fully on Collaborative practice. He is also qualified to offer the Resolution Together model (‘one couple, one lawyer’) and provides reflective practice supervision for other lawyers, recognising the importance of wellbeing in a high-pressure profession.

With 30 years’ experience in family law, Will is equipped to guide clients through separation and divorce in a constructive and carefully managed way. He helps clients understand their process options, including the benefits of non-court dispute resolution, with a focus on protecting dependent children and avoiding the emotional and financial cost of litigation wherever possible.

Will recognises that relationship breakdown involves emotional and financial considerations as well as legal issues. His holistic approach ensures that clients receive tailored support, including input from a divorce coach or financial adviser where appropriate, so that their future needs as a separated family are properly understood and addressed.

Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Will usually prefers to meet clients in person but can conduct matters remotely where clients prefer. This enables him to provide accessible, specialist family law advice to clients without geographical constraint.
